Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD), the Senior Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, has called on Muslim faithful to take advantage of the holy month of Ramadan to pray earnestly for peace, progress, and continued development in both Oyo State and Nigeria.
Speaking at the 6th Annual Ramadan Public Lecture organised by the Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF) a sociopolitical group founded by Oloye Benedict Agbaakin Olorunda Abaa, RAD emphasised that Ramadan provides a sacred opportunity for spiritual reflection and seeking divine guidance for leadership and national stability. The event took place in Ibadan, at Delight Estate, Lakuru, along Olorunda Abaa Road in the Akobo Ojurin area.
As the “Mother of the Day” at the lecture, Hon. Dabo stressed the importance of faith, perseverance, and good character in fulfilling personal destiny and contributing to societal progress. She thanked the organisers for fostering a platform that promotes spiritual growth, unity, and moral reorientation within the community.
The lecture, themed “Destiny (Kadara)”, featured an address by Sheikh Usman Sannu Sheu, the Chief Mufaseer of Ilorin Emirate, who provided deep Islamic insights on destiny — highlighting how faith, patience, and righteous actions shape both personal and societal outcomes.
Sheikh Sheu also commended Governor Seyi Makinde, Otunba Famojuro, and the founder of OBF for what he described as responsible leadership and meaningful community impact.
The programme was attended by high-profile dignitaries including:

The lecture concluded with prayers for peace, unity, and the prosperity of Oyo State and Nigeria, followed by the spiritual breaking of the fast.
