A hopeful for the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan SouthWest State Constituency I, Engr. Rasaq Olaide Oyebamiji (ROO), has called on residents to embrace love, unity and sustained prayers for the leadership of the state as Muslims observe the holy month of Ramadan 1447AH.

Engr. Oyebamiji made the appeal during the distribution of food items to constituents, describing Ramadan as a sacred season of sacrifice, compassion and renewed commitment to community service.

The aspirant urged Muslim faithful and residents to use the holy month to pray fervently for the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and the continued peace, stability and development of Oyo State.

“Ramadan is a time of deep reflection and supplication. I urge our people to remember His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde in their prayers, that God grants him wisdom and strength to continue delivering good governance. Let us also pray for our great party, the PDP, and for sustained progress in Oyo State,” he said.

Engr. Oyebamiji noted that leadership comes with enormous responsibility and requires divine guidance, stressing that collective prayers and unity among citizens remain vital to the success of any administration.

As part of his Ramadan outreach, the Ibadan SouthWest Assembly hopeful distributed essential food items to hundreds of households to cushion the economic burden during the fasting period. Beneficiaries commended the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.

He reiterated his commitment to people-oriented representation if elected into the Oyo State House of Assembly, promising to prioritize grassroots development, youth empowerment and social welfare initiatives that directly impact the lives of constituents.

Engr. Oyebamiji further encouraged residents to strengthen bonds of love beyond political and religious affiliations, emphasizing that unity and shared responsibility are key to building a more prosperous Oyo State.

“As we fast and pray, may Almighty Allah accept our عبادات, forgive our shortcomings and grant our state enduring peace and prosperity,” he prayed.
