Babaloja-General Pays Tribute to Olubadan, Commiserates with Governor Makinde, Ibadan Indigenes

Alh Asiwaju Yekini Abass Oladapo, YK Abass, the 1st Babaloja General of Oyo State has mourned the demise of the The 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan Land, HRM Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun describes him as a valuable asset.

The Babaloja-General in a statement said the entire Olojas received the news of the transition of the monarch with rude shock.

Alhaji YK Abass who condoled with the Governor Seyi Makinde and good people of Oyo state particularly indigenes of Ibadan noted that the late monarch did his best for the development of Ibadan land.

“Oba Senator Dr Olalekan Balogun  was, undoubtedly, committed to the progress and peace of Ibadan land.

” He was a king whose reign witnessed tremendous development in Ibadan land.

“As a people with culture and tradition, we believe that Oba Balogun has gone to be with his forefathers.

” He has played his part and only his legacies will forever speak for him.

“He will be remembered for his firm stands. His principles and love for his people will be his enduring legacies. He was royalty with a difference.”

Abass Oladapo also condoled with the monarch’s immediate family and prayed that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
