

A major political shift unfolded across Ibadan NorthWest and Ibadan SouthWest Local Government areas as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) officially received Hon. (Dr.) Dawood Akanni Olalere, popularly known as D-Al-Ameen, into its fold.
The lawmaker, who represents Ibadan North West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, was formally welcomed by the leadership of the ADC led by the Party Chairman Hon. Yinka Olona and other executives, amid a massive turnout of glowing supporters and political loyalists.


The reception held at St Patrick’s School Abebi Ibadan described by observers as historic, drew key political figures and stakeholders from across the two local governments. The atmosphere at the event was charged with excitement, chants, and solidarity songs as party faithful and residents thronged the venue to witness what many described as a defining moment in the political landscape of the area.
In his remarks, the lawmaker appreciated the leadership and supporters of the ADC for the warm reception, reaffirming his commitment to people-centered representation, inclusive governance, and purposeful legislation.
