Distinguished Senator Biodun Olujimi has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State to embrace unity, loyalty and collective responsibility as the party prepares for the forthcoming June election, declaring her total and unwavering support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO).
She made the call while addressing party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women and constituents from the sixteen local government areas of the state at a New Year party held at her country home in Omuo-Ekiti on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

The Senator expressed gratitude to God and appreciation to APC members for the warm reception given to her and her political family, SBO, following their defection into the party. She described the gesture as a reflection of the spirit of brotherhood, accommodation and political maturity that defines the APC.
“I thank the party for the understanding and unity shown in welcoming new members. This is the true spirit of progressivism, and it is the foundation of our strength,” she said.
Senator Olujimi emphasized that party cohesion must remain paramount, urging members to shun division and personal interests in favour of teamwork and collective success.
“Politics is about collective victory. Only through unity, loyalty and teamwork can we achieve lasting success. We must close ranks and move forward as one united family,” she stated.
Reaffirming her support for Governor Oyebanji, the Senator described him as deserving of the total backing, prayers and cooperation of all party members. She set a clear target for the party: another landslide victory across the state.
“Our goal is nothing less than a 16–0 victory again in Ekiti State. Anything short of total support for our Governor is unacceptable,” she declared.
As the election draws closer, Senator Olujimi called on party members to intensify grassroots mobilization, stressing the need for strategic engagement at ward and polling unit levels.
“We must work ward by ward and unit by unit to ensure victory in all the 177 wards of Ekiti State. Teamwork is non-negotiable,” she added.
She further urged APC members to be their brother’s keeper, resolve internal disagreements amicably, and protect the interest of the party, noting that unity remains the party’s greatest strength.
The Senator commended the Deputy Governor for her loyalty, steadfast support and harmonious working relationship with Governor Oyebanji, describing the unity at the top of government as a solid foundation for good governance and electoral success.
She also appreciated former governors of the state for their fatherly guidance, unwavering support and statesmanlike commitment towards the re-election of Governor Oyebanji, describing their collective backing as a rare demonstration of maturity and love for the progress of Ekiti State.
In her remarks, Senator Olujimi paid special tribute to the First Lady of Ekiti State, fondly referred to as “BAORESS,” for her supportive role in the achievements of the Oyebanji administration. She prayed for divine guidance, protection and strength for both the Governor and his wife as they continue to lead the state.
The Senator concluded by thanking all attendees for their presence, describing it as a testament to their faith in the APC and the future of Ekiti State. She also appreciated them with what she called “stomach infrastructure,” a token of gratitude for their support.
“Together, we shall win. Together, we shall progress. Together, APC will continue to lead Ekiti State forward,” she declared.
The event reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to unity and consolidation ahead of the forthcoming elections, while strengthening support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration across Ekiti State.
