The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has inaugurated the Chairman and members of the Party’s Membership, Revalidation, Mobilization and Registration (MRMR) Committee as part of efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Among those inaugurated are Hon. Oladimeji Fabiyi (Ogun State), Dr. Alex Adum (Benue State), and Mallam Jibril Sabo Keana (JSK) (Nasarawa State), alongside other distinguished party leaders.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Conference Hall of the ADC National Headquarters in Abuja and was attended by members of the National Working Committee (NWC), party leaders, and key stakeholders.
While administering the oath of office, Senator Mark charged the committee members to discharge their responsibilities with fairness, diligence, and a high sense of responsibility. He emphasized the strategic importance of the committee’s mandate to the growth and consolidation of the party and directed that the assignment be completed within thirty (30) days, with a comprehensive report submitted to the party leadership.
Senator Mark noted that the committee’s work would energize ADC’s grassroots base, deepen its democratic culture, and better position the party for future political challenges and opportunities. He added that the MRMR initiative reflects the party’s unwavering commitment to democratic governance and inclusive leadership.
The MRMR Membership Card
A key component of the initiative is the introduction of a unique MRMR Membership Card, designed to serve as both a verification and empowerment tool. The card ensures that every ADC member is:
Validated – Confirmed as an official party member
Mobilized – Actively engaged and informed about party activities
Empowered – Equipped to participate meaningfully in grassroots politics
This initiative strengthens ADC’s nationwide grassroots structure and represents a strategic step in preparing for the 2027 elections.
In his acceptance remarks, the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Kashim Imam, expressed gratitude to the National Chairman and the ADC leadership for the confidence reposed in the committee. He assured that members would work assiduously to deliver on their mandate within the stipulated timeframe.
