CHIEF WOLE OLANIPEKUN SAN CFR RECEIVES DONATION OF 1 BILLION NAIRA AT 29TH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

A donation of 1 billion naira was made to the Wole Olanipekun Foundation on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the 29th Wole Olanipekun Scholarship Scheme and 6th Edition of the Wole Olanipekun Foundation Empowerment, held at his country home, Ikere Ekiti.

The donation was made by the chairman of the event, Dr. Olutoye Ariyo KSJ, an international business mogul from Iyin Ekiti, in support of the Foundation’s efforts to empower indigent students and citizens of Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Speaking at the event, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge, a France-based businessman and Founder of Harrison Niyi Alonge Care Foundation, commended Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN CFR and his wife, Erelu Omolara Olanipekun, for their tireless efforts in empowering students and citizens of Ikere Ekiti through scholarships and empowerment initiatives.

Alonge also announced a donation of 1 million naira from his foundation to support the Wole Olanipekun Foundation’s efforts.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including His Excellency, the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, his Deputy, Mrs. Monisade Afuye, the Chairman of the traditional Council of Obas in Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adejimi Adu-Alagbado, The Agrilala II, The Ogoga of Ikere Kingdom; The Arinjale of Ise Kingdom; The Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba (Dr.) Adeola Ajakaye; Oba Onise of Odo Oro Ekiti; former Ekiti Deputy Governor, Surv. Abiodun Aluko; Bishop Bankole of St Peters Anglican Church, Ikere; other clergy men; business mogul, Mr. Sola Adewumi; Hon. AVM Ojuawo; and representatives from various universities.

Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN CFR expressed his gratitude to Dr. Olutoye Ariyo KSJ for his generous donation and urged beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme to make the most of the opportunity to improve their lives. He thanked the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Abayomi Oyebanji, for his love and support for Ikere, citing his Omoluabi trait and love for Ekiti people as the reasons for his appreciation. The legal luminary urged people to help one another as enshrined in the Holy Bible.

The beneficiaries of over 250 students on scholarship went home with sums of money ranging between ₦150,000 and ₦500,000, while those on empowerment received ₦75,000 and various foodstuffs.

The event was hailed as a huge success, with many praising Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN CFR for his commitment to empowering the people of Ikere Ekiti and beyond.

Alonge prays for many more years of continued, uncommon grace of God, sound health, and fulfillment for our legend and role model, Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN CFR.
