Barely a week after his last outreach, Hon. Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson, popularly known as O’leke, the House Leader of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government and Councillor representing Ward 9, has once again empowered his constituents through another impactful phase of his grassroots empowerment programme.

The event, held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Ward 9, Ibadan NorthWest, featured the distribution of cash support and other assistance to residents across the local government area. The initiative was widely described as a promise fulfilled and a morale booster for members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the wider community.

Speaking during the exercise, Hon. O’leke explained that the empowerment programme reflects his continuous dedication to strengthening faith in grassroots leadership and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people directly.

He noted that this latest edition is part of his regular bimonthly empowerment scheme, which has brought consistent relief and encouragement to many households. Beneficiaries from the previous phase, held just a week earlier, had also expressed gratitude for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

Hon. O’leke used the occasion to commend the Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, Hon. Rahman Adepoju, for his steadfast leadership and collaborative spirit, as well as fellow councillors from the 11 wards for their dedication in advancing the PDP’s vision at the grassroots.

He further urged all party members to remain united and focused on collective progress as the PDP prepares for its forthcoming National Congress.

Hon. O’leke also called on party members and residents to pray for the successful conduct of the congress scheduled to hold in Ibadan between November 15 and 16, 2025. He prayed for wisdom for the party’s elders and leaders, safe travels for all delegates, and divine blessings for His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, the leader of the PDP in Oyo State.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the party, Hon. O’leke pledged to continue supporting initiatives that promote unity, strengthen the PDP’s structure, and improve the lives of the people in Ward 9, Ibadan NorthWest, and beyond.
