The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan NorthWest Ward 10 successfully conducted its Ward Congress today at Oba Abass Aleshinloye Grammar School, Benjamin Junction, Ibadan. The exercise was held on September 13, 2025 which drew prominent party leaders and stakeholders, further demonstrating the party’s commitment to grassroots democracy and inclusiveness.
The event was graced by notable personalities including: Alhaji Rahman Adepoju Olanrewaju, Executive Chairman, Ibadan North West Local Government, Alhaji Ganiyu Omotosho, Chairman, Okebadan North LCDA, Alhaji Lukman Adesina, Ibadan North West PDP Chairman and Chairman of PDP Chairmen in Oyo State.
The Congress was monitored by the PDP National Electoral Committee led by Barrister Hassan Yakub, with members Barrister M.S. Akacho and Mr. Adam Yakar Yusuf. Also in attendance were Honourable Wasiu Adeleke, PDP Oyo State Secretary; Hon. Dauda Oladele, Returning Officer; Hon. Esho Taiwo, IBNW Ward 10 Councillor; Hon. Fantola Kasim, IBNW Chief of Staff; and Hon. Adeleke Saheed, former Councillor.
Delegates and party faithful actively participated in the congress, which provided a platform for members to exercise their democratic rights. The highlight of the event was the election of new ward executives who are expected to steer the affairs of the party at the grassroots level.

Ibadan North West Local Government, comprising 11 wards, plays a crucial role in Oyo State’s political structure. The successful congress reflects the PDP’s ongoing efforts to consolidate its strength at the grassroots and sustain its influence in the state.
