
As Muslims across Oyo State and Nigeria join the global Ummah to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), the Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon. (Mrs) Toyin Balogun, has extended her warm greetings and felicitations to the faithful.
Hon. Balogun described the occasion of Eid-el-Mawlud as not just a celebration but also a moment for deep reflection on the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which emphasize love, tolerance, peace, humility, and sacrifice.
She urged Muslims to imbibe the noble virtues of the Prophet by fostering unity, promoting peaceful coexistence, and extending hands of compassion to the needy in society.
According to her, “At a time when our nation faces several challenges, it becomes more imperative to embrace the Prophet’s teachings of selflessness, fairness, and devotion to the common good.”
The Commissioner also commended the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for sustaining an atmosphere of religious harmony and inclusiveness in Oyo State, calling on residents to continue supporting the government’s vision for collective prosperity.
She prayed for Allah’s blessings, guidance, and protection over all Muslim faithful and wished them a joyous and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Mawlud celebration.
